The Highland Club Lounge

The lounge and snooker room can be found at the end of the north cloister in the beautifully restored, timber panelled, former monks, Refectory. It is the perfect place to relax or meet fellow guests. There is a full size snooker table, table football, a games cupboard and comfortable sofas and chairs (many covered in the unique Highland Club tartan). The Lounge benefits from free WiFi access so that guests can go online and plan their adventures for the next day.

The Boathouse Restaurant

Open through the day is the picturesque Boathouse Restaurant. Converted from the Abbey’s former boating house it sits on stilts over the waters of Loch Ness with unparalleled views across the loch. It is the only lochside restaurant in Fort Augustus and whether you simply want a cup of tea, a quick snack or more leisurely meal this stunning location is ideal….and reasonably priced as well! The independently run restaurant serves a variety of freshly prepared highland classics as well as Mediterranean specialities.

The Highland Club is fully licensed to host civil, religious and humanist ceremonies. Ceremonies can be held in either the Abbey Church Atrium,the Club Lounge orthe great outdoors.
